Temple of Truth Free SDA Church

About Us

Temple of Truth Free Seventh-day Adventist Church is the official home of the worldwide work of Free Seventh-day Adventists. It is also the home church of the first lady of the Free Church-Mother Janice Watkins. Janice Watkins is the most longstanding active member of the Free Seventh-day Adventists. She is first lady in the sense that she is the wife of Elder Sidney Watkins, former President of the General Assembly of Free Seventh-day Adventists, now deceased. Elder Sidney Watkins served the General Assembly in the 1960's, and was also a longtime pastor of this local church. Mother Watkins is also the Secretary-Treasurer of the Free Seventh-day Adventists, and Pastor Thomas Jones is Vice President of the organization.

The headquarters of the Free Seventh-day Adventists was originally located in Savannah, Georgia, beginning in 1912. Not long after the death of John Mann's death in 1929, it was moved to Brunswick Georgia. Temple of Truth Church also houses a historical center for the Free Seventh-day Adventists.

In addition to this, the church operates a k-12 school under the leadership of Mrs. Janice Watkins. It is called the "Temple of Truth Christian Community School," where children from diverse ages and backgrounds attend annually from the Brunswick community. Our curriculum and standards are bible based.
